Clearly, some of the worst things are overrated, and some of the best are underrated.
Purchasing a house ought to be exciting, but instead is a drag because there are just too many people in California. As soon as something even slightly desirable becomes available -- a house, an item at the store, an open class at a university -- people clamor for it like ants swarming a piece of bread that fell on the ground. Because of this, accomplishing even mundane tasks requires miracles.
